FTI currently develops and implements projects in partnership with organizations in Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. It is a local Kyrgyz, not-for-profit, non-partisan, non-governmental organization that
has successfully performed its mission since 1998.

Activities
- Advocates and lobbies for peace and justice
- Analyzes, researches & monitors conflicts at various levels
- Develops and implements community-based and regional projects
- Promotes ideas of tolerance and regional cooperation through the mass media
- Conducts negotiation, mediates and builds consensus between conflicting parties;
- Strengthens and expands regional networks of mediators and civil society organizations;
- Applies world best-practices in preventing and resolving conflicts in the context of the region.
- Expands spaces for dialogue to enhance cooperation among civil society, authorities, law enforcement bodies, religious institutions, media, political parties and the Parliament
- Conducts trainings on conflict-prevention as well as organizational development skills
- Attracts international donors to the problems of interethnic conflicts in the region;
- Provides the public with reliable and timely information
- Provides consultation services and small grants
